Curriculum Goals

The Geography curriculum aims to develop students into geographically informed, inquiring and responsible citizens who understand the Earth from spatial and ecological perspectives. Integrating junior and senior secondary learning, the curriculum deepens students’ knowledge of space, place and environment, and strengthens their understanding of the dynamic interactions between human and physical systems at local, national and global scales. Through geographical enquiry, fieldwork and the use of maps, data and digital technologies, students cultivate critical thinking, problem-solving and communication skills. Emphasis is placed on sustainability, global interdependence and citizenship, empowering students to appreciate environmental stewardship and contribute thoughtfully to society, the nation and the world.
