Moral, Civic and National Education Committee

A.Our Visions

The Moral, Civic and National Education Committee is dedicated to fostering students’ whole-person development through the promotion of positive values and attitudes. We strive to nurture responsible, caring, and law-abiding citizens who uphold integrity, appreciate their national identity, and contribute meaningfully to society.

Promote Values Education:  Cultivate in students ten priority values and attitudes — Perseverance, Respect for Others, Responsibility, National Identity, Commitment, Integrity, Care for Others, Law-abidingness, Empathy, and Diligence — to guide their personal growth and lifelong learning.

Develop Values Reasoning: Equip students with the ability to identify, analyse, and evaluate values in different life situations, enabling them to make fair and rational decisions and take proper actions when facing challenges.

Cultivate National Identity: Instil a strong sense of belonging and pride in being Chinese by helping students understand Chinese history, appreciate traditional culture, respect national symbols, and recognize the significance of the Constitution, the Basic Law, and national security.

Enhance Media and Information Literacy: Guide students to access, interpret, and evaluate information critically and responsibly in today’s digital world, fostering rational thinking and ethical media behaviour.

Provide Practical Experiences: Offer authentic learning experiences such as community service, exchange programmes, and field visits that allow students to practise positive values, care for others, and experience the joy of contribution.

Promote Life Education: Encourage students to respect and cherish life, explore its meaning, and develop a positive attitude toward personal and social well-being through real-life and life-wide learning activities.
