Professional development at our school aspires to build a vibrant learning community where every teacher grows with purpose, joy and professionalism. Grounded in Hong Kong EDB guidelines, our vision emphasizes ongoing, evidence-based professional learning that enhances teaching effectiveness and student outcomes. School-based positive education is embedded in all training, nurturing teachers’ well-being, resilience and growth mindset so they can model these attributes for students. Structured induction and mentoring programmes support new teachers’ adaptation, helping them understand school culture, curriculum expectations and classroom practices while fostering collegial support. Lifelong professional training is promoted through collaborative lesson planning, peer observation, learning circles and external courses, encouraging teachers to reflect, innovate and stay abreast of educational developments, including National Security Education and the use of AI and STEAM in learning and teaching. All professional development initiatives aim to uphold the school’s core values of harmony, liveliness and commitment, cultivating a caring, energetic and dedicated staff team that works together for students’ holistic growth.
