Citizenship and Social Development

Our commitments

We are committed to providing a supportive teaching and learning environment that enables students to identify the different perspectives and values behind various topics. We encourage them to apply critical thinking skills, problem-solving skills, creativity, data management skills and self-learning skills in an integrative manner when examining the background of these topics from multiple perspectives, so as to make law-abiding, rational and affective judgements and decisions based on facts and evidence.

We are also committed to providing a variety of teaching and learning activities outside the classroom. These include study tours, immersive experiential theatre, and visits to museums and historical sites. Such activities help students to develop a deeper understanding of our community and country. These activities also teach students how to collect information, construct knowledge and develop generic skills, as well as fostering positive values and attitudes towards life. Our ultimate goal is to nurture informed and responsible citizens of society, the country, and the world.
